Vortices in single-component Bose gases are a well-studied system. In Rabi-coupled systems, vortex dynamics have an additional level of complexity as vortices can be created in either component, resulting in dynamics between 'half-quantized' vortices. There are numerous theoretical papers studying the dynamics of vortices in 2-components, especially with regards to a quantum simulation platform for SU(2) QCD in the low-energy limit, however there are very little experimental studies, owing to the difficulty in experimentally creating half-quantized vortices. The deterministic creation of vortices in 1- and 2-components is a desirable starting point for experiments studying such systems. My work is thus to investigate possible methods of creating such vortices via simulation, with a desire for future experimental implementation.
