Abstract: In this talk I will discuss double microwave shielding to suppress collisional loss of ultracold polar molecules.
Here "double" refers to the use of two microwave fields of different polarization to suppress both two-body and three-body loss.
This has recently enabled efficient evaporative cooling of bosonic NaCs to the first BEC of polar molecules. [arXiv:2312.10965]
