# Benchmarking a Novel Efficient Numerical Method for Localized 1D Fermi-Hubbard Systems on a Quantum Simulator

PRX Quantum 2, 040325 – Published 5 November 2021

Due to a combination of computational complexity and physical pertinence, quantum many-body physics constitutes one of the most exciting applications of NISQ era quantum computers and neutral atom quantum simulators.

In this work, we show how a state-of-the art neutral atom quantum simulator can be used to solve for the time dynamics of many-body systems which are intractable to existing numerical methods. In particular, we use a quantum simulator to benchmark a new efficient approximation algorithm for such systems.
