Observing non-ergodicity due to kinetic constraints in tilted Fermi-Hubbard chains
It has been predicted that even in the absence of disorder many-body systems may fail to thermalize.
In this work we observe non-ergodic dynamics in the 1D tilted Fermi-Hubbard model that is distinct from previously studied regimes, and propose a microscopic mechanism that is due to emergent kinetic constraints.
