Group Seminar via Zoom: Realization of a quantum anomalous Hall Hamiltonian in 2D optical Raman lattice using Sr87 fermions

Dealing with the unique situation of partial lock downs worldwide and home office solutions at our Institute due to the current spreading of the Covid 19 virus, we are now holding our group seminars and journal clubs via video conference.This procedure enables us to continue our research, enhance discussions and exchange important information.


In this talk, I will manly introduce the spin-orbit coupling experiment using ultracold Sr87 atoms. First, I will discuss the motivation of our experiment. Then from 1D SOC to 2D optical Raman lattice, we realized the QAH hamiltonian step by step. I will present the results during the process and summarize the problems in the experiment. At last, I will briefly summarize the research work during my PhD period.
