Seminar LMU: Dynamics of One Dimensional Fermi Gases.

We have used the time-evolving block decimation (TEBD) numerical method to model the expansion and collision dynamics of low dimensional Fermi gases in an optical lattice. The TEBD results are compared to the experiments done in Munich (band insulator expansion) and MIT (collision of spin polarized gases). We suggest that the dynamics can be explained using two-site model considerations..
