Speed Limit on the Quantum Highway

The red ball figures a doublon (doubly occupied site) and the blue ball figures a holon (an empty site). The propagation of these quasiparticles with a well defined velocity is responsible for the propagation of correlations along an effective light cone, which we observed in the experiment.
